Bauhaus Fair Isle

Bauhaus Fair Isle, by Mary Jane Mucklestone, from Interweave Knits Spring 2007, made for my younger son Daniel. The sleeves are a bit long but he says that's okay, he can cover his hands when it is freezing in Missouri, where he is studying at WashU in St Louis. It was so much fun to knit...and I would finished it sooner but it got too hot here to work with wool. I used Dale of Norway Falk yarn instead of Heilo, because I couldn't get the colors specified in the pattern in Heilo. . Falk was softer than Heilo and I'll use it again, and I loved the picture of the hawk on the yarn labels. Daniel wore his new sweater when he went back to school on January 12; from 74 degree weather here to 15 degrees in St. Louis!
